(Giveaway has ended)
December 1st. Where has this year gone?? I need to blink less. How about starting of the last month of the year with a really fun giveaway? 12 giveaways to be exact. One is here on my blog, the other 11 are all hosted by other bloggers. We decided to have a little fun and giveaway some of our favorite things we always use/eat/just plain love. This giveaway isn’t sponsored by anyone but myself ( and each blogger for their own giveaway) and it is merely a thank you for being a loyal reader and fan.
I have to say it was honestly hard to narrow down my favorite things within my budget. I came close to giving away a case of wine, but I decided to go with a few other things I love and use on a daily basis. Plus I wasn’t sure about shipping wine, and not keeping it instead. Ha ha.
I love coffee, and I always get my coffee from Cost Plus World Market, so I am including one of my favorites, Kona coffee
This is my everyday salt. I love the flavor and its what I use in my Kalua pork recipe. Plus a super cute salt cellar and spoon to go with the Hawaiian salt is also in my giveaway
I LOVE almond butter. I can easily eat a whole jar in one sitting, I don’t, but I could. When my friend Claudette started up her company, Cavegirl Confections, I was so excited to see she was making almond butters. She has so many amazing flavors, but these two are by far my favorite. The cacao nib has little cacao nibs throughout the almond butter and the vanilla coconut is just as amazing. She also makes other paleo amd gluten free snacks, her maple bacon granola is one of my faves.
I am a self-proclaimed kitchen gadget junkie. I have two drawers and a box full of gadgets. I don’t have all of these from this hysterical list of Clever Gifts For Food Lovers ( I do have the pineapple corer and drinking out of a pineapple is pretty awesome) but I do have almost one of each of OXO‘s gadgets. They make awesome stuff. These three I use almost daily. The silicone brush is awesome for spreading oil on cast iron pans, greasing waffle irons, muffin tins, basting meats on the bbq. The Y peeler is amazing. I peel a ton of sweet potatoes and other veggies all week and with a regular peeler I was always stopping to unclog it, but the Y peeler never gets clogged up with peels and I can peel stuff way faster. The thin spatula is amazing. It is perfect for flipping anything from eggs to fish, its great for cookies and any delicate foods that need minimal handling when cooking so they don’t fall apart. I actually own two I love it that much.
This is hands down my favorite coconut oil to use. I use it for everything from as my cooking oil, seasoning my cast iron pans, as my oil in baking, to lotion, to chapstick. It is so versatile and, in fact, here is a list of 101 Uses For Coconut Oil. Its just good good stuff. I normally order my coconut oil by the gallon from Tropical Traditions. They have a ton of products that I love and they are always having amazing sales and or free shipping.
Last but not least, my favorite every day pan. For a cast iron pan this one is surprisingly light and cooks up everything perfectly. I use it daily for eggs, its awesome for veggies, pancakes, quesadillas and even fish. It cleans up quickly and I use my thin spatula with it. The handle does get hot so I included the silicone handle cover so you can hold on to it without burning your hand. It even made all the crepes for my 40 layer crepe cake.
