I am totally THAT mom that signs up to bring certain items for class parties, such as juice, just so I know my kids wont be eating or drinking junk. I will bend my rules now and then but some things I put my food down on and are absolute no-nos in our diets. Such as foods containing high fructose corn syrup, anything soy based, food dyes etc.   So many kid’s juices these days are just dyed sugar water. No nutritional redeeming qualities about them. We actually don’t drink juice at home. Its just not something we have, but for those occasions at school like parties I am ok with it. Especially when its Honest Kids juice.

Honest Kids is 100% organic. No artificial anything. Score!! No high fructose corn syrup. Score!!  No fillers or junk. Just honest to goodness juice packed with 100% daily value of vitamin c. Healthier and lower in sugar since the sweetness only comes from fruit juice.  Plus they come in 5 fun flavors ( we love the Berry Berry Good Lemonade) and I love the Honest Tea’s company mission and core values. They are a company and brand I believe in. I have partnered with them today to bring you some of the ways I rock my kids lunches and here are a few examples.

Lunchbox contents: Honest Kids Lemonade, hard boiled egg, sunflower seeds, tomatoes and Persian cucumber slices, raspberries, blueberries and Annie’s organic gummy bunnies

My kids LOVE their bento style lunchboxes. I have them help pick out what they want in their lunch boxes. I always give  them a choice of two items, for example tomatoes or cucumber, berries or oranges etc.  And not every day, but once a week I will surprise them with their favorite treat, Annie’s Homegrown organics gummy bunnies. My kids LOVE those things. Last week when I picked up my daughter from Kindergarten I asked her the usuals ” How was your day? What did you do? What did you learn?”  and she told me they had juice in class but she didn’t have any since it wasn’t organic. Serious proud mom moment there.

Homemade gluten free mini chicken and olive pizza, apple slices and Honest Kids Lemonade

Its tough when you ( meaning me or any other mom friend of mine that I have talked to) take your kids grocery shopping and they want ALL the things marketed towards kids that aren’t good for them even when they have no idea what the product is. Even though I cook and bake almost everything we eat, I am ok with the occasional packaged goodie as long as it is organic and doesn’t have any junk ingredients. So I asked my daughter ” The next time you have juice in class would you like me to get you some organic juice to take with you so you don’t feel left out?” Her eyes were as wide as saucers and she was very excited about that idea. She also told me that she didn’t feel left out that it was ok she didn’t have the non organic juice. My baby is growing up!

Sugar snap peas and cucumber slices, sticky rice, grilled chicken and tamari, tangerines and Annies Bunny crackers. Honest Kids lemonade

My kids’ other favorite treat besides Annie’s gummy bunnies is Annie’s bunny crackers. Not something I give to them often, but as a once in a while treat and because Annie’s makes a really good product and I am a-ok with my kiddos having it.

Honest kids lemonade, Greek yogurt with blueberries, red bell pepper and yellow cherry tomatoes and one of my Sunflower Butter no bake oatmeal bars

I remember being a kid and having school lunch envy of other kids for one product only. This Pink Panther pink lemonade. It came in little juice boxes and kids would have it frozen in their lunches and they would be slushy by lunch time. Every one had them except me. I think my mom broke down and bought some so I would stop begging her for it. I froze a couple pouches of the Honest Kids lemonade and they made for the best slushies!! Totally reminded me of my childhood. I love that I can pass that on to my kid with a product that is super high quality. Only the best for my kiddos
