I love waffles. We all know this. For breakfast, brunch, dinner for breakfast ( yay brinner!), dessert. Sweet, savory or crazy decadent like these. Give me all the waffles.

Strawberries are seen in many Valentine's recipes, the chocolate dipped strawberry is synonymous with Valentine's day so I decided to do a little play on the chocolate dipped strawberry with chocolate waffles. My family and I love strawberries and waffles as it is and with making the waffles chocolate really makes these extra tasty and decadent.

The retro waffle iron makes a thinner waffle than my belgian waffle maker so it didn't take as much batter, and doesn't take as much butter or oil to season. I made sure it was well heated before I added in the batter and after a few trial and error waffles with batter spilling out I got the right amount so I wouldn't have any batter loss. These thinner waffles make for better stacking too.

I also love whipped cream with waffles but for these I amped up that whipped cream with mixing it with marshmallow fluff and strawberry jam. I was having a hard time staying away from this delicious concoction. I kept dipping strawberries into it and then straight into my mouth. The strawberry fluff filling definitely doubles as a delicious dip for fruit as well as a filling for these waffle stacks. It would probably be most excellent as a cake filling as well.

    Candy Conversation Hearts are optional.
